Filter Media Test Rigs

MFP filter test rigs from Palas® have already proved themselves worldwide in practical development and quality control applications. The MFP Series filter test rigs are modular filter testing system for flat filter media and small mini-filters.

APM 2005 are automatic test rig for permeable materials for measurement of particle penetration

MMTC 2000 is the Filter test rig for cleanable filter media in accordance with VDI 3926. Versions for temperature and/ or rel. humidity control

With the MMTC series, Palas® offers a reliable and cost-effective test system for quality control and the development of cleanable filter media.

MFP 1000

Fast and economical quality control and development of flat media with dust, oil or salt starting at 120 nm

The MFP filter test rig is a modular filter testing system for flat filter media and small filters. The MFP 1000 can be used to determine:

  • Pressure loss curve on the medium without a dust coating,
  • fraction separation efficiency, or burden and fraction separation efficiency during application of the burden within shortest times – reliably and therefore cost-effectively.

The corresponding aerosol generator can be used depending on the standard or application.

MFP 2000

Fast and economical quality control and development of flat media with dust, oil or salt starting at 200 nm

The aerosol generators are easy to interchange and coordinated with the overall system. As a result, filter tests can be performed quickly and easily with the different test aerosols.

With the aid of the light scattering spectrometer Promo® 2000, clear and reliable determination of the aerosol concentration and the particle size and therefore an accurate determination of the fraction separation efficiency can be ensured.

The largely automated setup of the test sequence together with the clearly defined individual components and the individually adjustable sequence programs of the filter test software FTControl combine to deliver the high reliability of our measurement results.

MFP 3000

Modular filter media test rig for fractional efficiency, differential pressure, dust holding capacity and gravimetrical efficiency in suction mode. Version HF with temperature and humidity control

This enables you to determine the pressure loss curve on the medium without a dust coating, fraction separation efficiency, or burden and fraction separation efficiency during application of the burden and the gravimetric separation efficiency within shortest times – reliably and therefore cost-effectively.

The MFP 3000 operates in suction mode. This ensures a particularly uniform formation of the dust cake even at high inflow speeds.

With the aid of the light scattering spectrometer Promo® 3000, clear and reliable determination of the aerosol concentration and the particle size and therefore a clear determination of the fraction separation efficiency can be ensured. In addition, use of the Promo® 3000 with two sensors for virtually simultaneous particle measurement offers the following advantages: Fully-automatic measurement of fraction separation efficiency

Use of the testing system for very high and very low aerosol concentrations The largely automated setup of the test sequence in conjunction with the clearly defined individual components and the individually adjustable sequence programs of the filter test software FTControl combine to deliver the high reliability of our measurement results.

MFP 4000

MFP 4000 with two Promo® aerosol spectrometers for simultaneous determination of fraction separation efficiency

The MFP 4000 operates in suction mode. This ensures a particularly uniform formation of the dust cake even at high inflow speeds.

With the new FTControl test rig software of the MFP 4000, the aerosol spectrometer Promo® 1000/2000 is used for clear and reliable determination of the aerosol concentration and particle size and therefore clear determination of the fraction separation efficiency. The use of one aerosol spectrometer Promo® 1000/2000 in raw gas and one in clean gas within simultaneous operation offers the following advantages: Fully-automatic simultaneous measurement of fraction separation efficiency Faster determination of the beginning fraction separation efficiency because of bisection of the testing time for the fraction separation efficiency. Higher temporal resolution for the measurement of fraction separation efficiency during loading.

Using the testing system for very high and very low aerosol concentrations. The largely automated setup of the test sequence in conjunction with the clearly defined individual components and the individually adjustable sequence programs of the filter test software FTControl combine to deliver the high reliability of our measurement results.

Palas UGF 2000 Aerosol Generator

MFP Nano Plus

Filter media test rig in accordance to DIN EN 1822-3 and ISO 29463-3 with U-SMPS for determination of MPPS range

The MFP Nano plus has been specially designed to determine the separation efficiency of HEPA and ULPA filter media in accordance with DIN EN 1822-3 and ISO 29463-3. In the form of the U-SMPS, a modern and powerful nanoparticle measuring device with a measurement range from 5 nm to 1 µm is used for particle size and quantity analysis.

With the aid of the universal aerosol generator UGF 2000, defined aerosol distributions matched to the MMPS range can be produced with DEHS or salt (NaCl / KCl).

Thanks to the movable dilution cascades, the test rig can be changed from salt aerosols to DEHS aerosols within a very short time, with no need for cleaning.
